About Us

Irish Craftsmanship
Since 1934

The Botany Weaving Story

Founded in 1934 by James Hackett in Dublin’s historic Liberties, BotanyWeaving began as a small operation producing fine apparel fabrics. As we grew, we evolved through decades of change, to meet new industries and opportunities.

In the 1960s and 1970s, we supplied uniforms for British Airways, the Irish police force, An Garda Síochána, and the Irish armed forces. By the 1980s, we were weaving contract furnishing fabrics for global names like Knoll, Herman Miller and Kvadrat. Our first aviation client, Tunisair, joined us in 1991 - a partnership that continues today.

By 2010, we had expanded into carpet production. Today, we are the leading manufacturer of textiles and carpets for aviation interiors worldwide. Still family-owned and proudly Irish, we continue to invest in our people, our craftand our innovation.

Decades of Craft.
Designed for Tomorrow.

From our earliest designs to today’s solutions, our work has always been shaped by enduring principles, craftsmanship, responsibility, and trust. These values don’t belong to the past; they continue to guide how we build for the future.

Flexibility as Standard

Experience has shown us that true quality must evolve. By combining proven expertise with modern thinking, we deliver flexible, reliable solutions that meet changing needs without compromising our standards.

Sustainable Innovation

Our approach to innovation is rooted in respect for what lasts. Inspired by our heritage, we develop smarter, more sustainable solutions designed to create long-term value for generations to come.
